Suzi Coleman, M.A.

Executive Director, Co-Founder

Suzi Coleman – Executive Director and Co-Founder, received her Bachelor‘s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Humboldt State University and her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from John F. Kennedy University. Suzi facilitates Telepsychiatry encounters and oversees the Assistive Technology and TeleBehavioral Health direct service programs at Connecting to Care. In addition, she works closely with the Board of Directors and oversees all administrative aspects of operations. Suzi also works with rural healthcare provider organizations to design and implement a full range of integrated TeleHealth services in underserved communities. As Executive Director, she insures deliverables on grants, business service agreements, and all other funding to maintain the sustainability of Connecting to Care.

Geoffrey Barley, M.S.

IT / Assistive Technology Manager

Geoffrey Barley – IT/Assistive Technology Manager, received his Master’s degree from Chico State University. Geoffrey is an Advanced Assistive Technology Certified Professional, ATACP. While at Chico State, Geoffrey developed the first fully Section 508/ADA accessibility compliant website for the Kinesiology Department’s Adapted Physical Activity Program. He is the TeleHealth IT network administrator and Assistive Technology Specialist who performs all aspects of AT assessments, recommendations, presentations and trainings for CtoC consumers. Geoffrey has been working in the field since 2004 providing services to individuals from regional centers, schools and the Department of Rehabilitation.

Marnie Yorton, M.S.

Business Administrator

Marnie Yorton – M.S. (retired CPA), has over 30 years of broad experience in the field of accounting. Her background in public accounting, non-profit and private sector business management, and government compliance services, ensures a sound corporate infrastructure for Connecting to Care.

Heidi Johnson, B.A.

TeleHealth Coordinator

Heidi Johnson – TeleHealth Coordinator, has been in the medical field since 1991. She holds a Medical Office Assisting Certificate and graduated from Simpson State University with a Bachelor’s in Business and Human Resource Management. Heidi provides coordination and administrative support for all the TeleHealth programs at Connecting to Care.

Vickie Edgar, SLP, M.A.

Speech and Language Pathologist

Vickie Edgar, received her Bachelors of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology from California State University, Sacramento and her Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders-Speech Language Pathology from California State University, Fresno. Vickie deeply believes that communication is core to all of us as individuals and she is passionate about helping others reach their communication potential. Vickie is recently certified as a RESNA Assistive Technology Professional.

Vickie was employed by Fresno County Office of Education for 12 years where she worked with children and young adults from preschool to post high school programs. She served a range of multi-cultural students from regular education classrooms to programs for students with severe disabilities. She served students in Headstart programs, participated on an in-home pre-school assessment team and was part of a startup team to establish a preschool program for students on the autism spectrum. During this time, she received specialized training in many areas including the SCERTS model program, The Hanen Program: It Takes Two to Talk, More Than Words, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and Visual Strategies for Improving Communication. For the last seven years Vickie has focused her work with adults and children living with communication disorders and cognitive deficits.

Co-Founder, President

Barbara Travis has over 30 years of experience in non-profit financial and project management. She was formerly Interim Executive Director at NSRHN. Barbara holds a Bachelors in Business Administration. Barbara leaves a legacy as a co-founder of CtoC and continues to support special projects and currently contributes as an adviser.

Fernando Alvarez, MD

Board Member and Medical Director

Dr. Alvarez is an advocate of accessing medical specialty care remotely via telemedicine. As CtoC‘s Medical Director, he provides oversight and helps increase awareness of CtoC’s TeleHealth
